Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Coatings Inspector I to perform basic inspection of protective coating work under the direction of a CIP Level 2 or 3 inspector. You will verify surface preparation, measure ambient conditions and film thickness, and document every step on tanks, structural steel, pipe, and concrete.

Requirements include AMPP CIP Level 1 certification and 1+ year experience; you will work around tanks, blasting and spray operations with meticulous records and instrument

Qualifications

• AMPP (NACE) CIP Level 1 certification, current.
• 1+ years in industrial coatings application or inspection.
• Able to work around tanks, blasting and spray operations.
• Meticulous with instruments and records.

Responsibilities

• Measure and record ambient conditions before and during application.
• Verify surface preparation to SSPC/NACE cleanliness and profile.
• Measure wet and dry film thickness and check for holidays.
• Keep daily coating inspection log and photograph each stage.
