Job summary

Oceanpoint Ranch in Cambria, CA is seeking a Sales & Catering Manager to drive SMERF group business, meetings, and events. You will own the sales process from prospecting to contracting, planning, and execution, partnering with hotel operations to ensure events meet client visions and hotel standards.

You will lead proposals, site inspections, and negotiations, building lasting client relationships while maximizing revenue.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hotel catering and group sales experience.
• Proven ability to generate new business through proactive prospecting, calls, networking, and relationship development.
• Experience selling and coordinating meetings, group business, catering, and special events.
• Strong negotiation and closing skills with a focus on maximizing revenue while meeting client needs.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, organization, and follow-through.

Responsibilities

• Drive new business and revenue by prospecting for new accounts, nurturing existing relationships, and pursuing group, meeting, and catering opportunities.
• Sell the full hotel experience including guest rooms, event space, banquet and catering F&B, AV, and other revenue-generating offerings.
• Build and manage client relationships through sales calls, site inspections, presentations, networking, and follow-up.
• Develop creative sales strategies based on market trends, competition, and opportunities to increase revenue and market share.
• Manage the event sales process from start to finish including proposals, contracts, negotiations, client correspondence, and event turnover.
• Detail and coordinate events by creating accurate BEOs and communicating client specs to teams.
