Job summary

Adrian Public Schools is seeking a Middle School Cross Country Coach at Springbrook Middle School for the 2026 season. The role focuses on building endurance, sportsmanship, and a positive team environment for grades 6–8.

The coach will lead practices, provide instruction on running technique, and support student-athletes in personal growth. CPR/AED certification is required or must be obtained before the season; participation at high school meets is expected.

Qualifications

• Must have coaching experience at high school level or higher.
• CPR/AED certification required or able to obtain before season.
• Willing to work at high school meets and offseason with head varsity coach as needed.

SUMMARY

The Middle School Cross Country Coach is responsible for leading, instructing, and inspiring student-athletes in the fundamentals of distance running. The primary focus of this role is to build endurance, foster sportsmanship, promote personal growth, and create a positive, inclusive team environment for middle school athletes (grades 6–8).

• Candidates must have participation and/orcoaching experience at the high school level or higher in the sport of cross country.
• Candidates must be currently certified in CPR/AED, or must have the ability to become certifiedbefore the season.
• Candidates must be willing to work at HS meets and in the off-season with the head varsity cross country coach as needed.
