Job summary

Alexandria Public Schools is seeking a dedicated Middle School Baseball Coach to lead student athletes in developing fundamentals, strategy, and teamwork for the upcoming season (3/29/27–5/14/27).

You will establish policies to inform families, supervise students at all times, enforce school rules, attend required meetings, complete paperwork, and promote positive conduct and athleticmanship within the program.

Qualifications

• Establish policies to inform parents and students of activities and events.
• Maintain and oversee welfare of students; monitor discipline and morale.
• Enforce no hazing policy and ensure respectful conduct.

Responsibilities

• Instruct students in baseball fundamentals, strategy and physical training for team success.
• Attend required meetings and submit required paperwork in a timely manner.
• Maintain discipline and work to increase morale and cooperation within the school program.

Job description

Coaching Position: Middle School Baseball Coach

Season dates: 3/29/27__ 5/14/27

Essential Functions

Establish policies and procedures for keeping parents and students informed of activities and events; establish policies to address parent or student issues or concerns; regularly updates the Athletic Director on issues, concerns and highlights.

Attend all required meetings and submits all required paperwork in a timely manner.

Maintain and oversee the welfare of students at all times; determine and maintain student’s level of competition; instruct students in the fundamental skills, strategy and physical training in order or realize individual and/or team success.

Maintain discipline and work to increase morale and cooperation within the school program and school community.

Carry out all regulations as described in the handbook and/or preseason meeting.

Enforce “no hazing policy” which includes no humiliating, degrading, emotional/physical harm, language or activities.

Compensation:

Stipend pay as outlined in Appendix C of the Master Agreement
