Job summary

O-I is seeking a Quality Leadership Development Program intern (Co-op Project Engineer) for Fall 2027 at our Perrysburg, OH location. The 12-16 week rotational program combines quality and manufacturing training to prepare you for future technical and supervisory roles in North American plants.

You’ll learn our processes and gain hands-on experience through tests, analyses, and design evaluations while collaborating with plants and customers to address quality issues.

Qualifications

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; able to interact with all levels.

Responsibilities

• Perform tests, analyses, and studies related to improving glass container quality.
• Apply statistical tools and methods to design studies and conduct quality analyses.
• Participate in the evaluation and testing of new container designs.
• Work with manufacturing plants and customers to investigate quality issues.
• Conduct measurements and write reports to summarize quality analyses.
• Learn plant operations including batch and furnace operations, forming machines, equipment, and quality systems.
• Gain a well-rounded background in plant operations and manufacturing management.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant Engineering, Operations, or Manufacturing
