Job summary

O-I offers a Quality Leadership Development Program Co-op (Fall 2027) in Perrysburg, Ohio. This 12- to 16-week rotation blends hands-on quality and manufacturing work with structured training to build a foundation for a successful career at O-I.

As a Project Engineer Co-op, you will learn from industry experts, gain exposure to batch and furnace operations, and collaborate with plants, customers, and teams to drive quality improvements and processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, or a related field.
• Preferred disciplines include Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Ceramic and Glass Engineering, Maintenance and Industrial Technology, Operations Management, and Materials Science.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. O-I does not sponsor work visas for internships or co-op positions.

Responsibilities

• Perform tests, analyses, and studies to improve glass container quality.
• Apply problem-solving skills and statistics to design studies and analyze quality data.
• Participate in evaluating and testing new container designs.
• Partner with manufacturing plants and customers to investigate quality and manufacturing challenges.
• Conduct measurements and prepare reports communicating findings and recommendations.
• Gain exposure to key plant processes, including batch and furnace operations, forming machines, equipment systems, inspection, packaging, and quality programs.
• Develop a well-rounded understanding of plant operations and manufacturing management through hands-on experience and collaboration.
