Job summary

Olin Chemicals is seeking a Process Controls Engineer Co-Op for Fall 2027 in Freeport, TX. This role focuses on developing and maintaining process control systems to ensure safe and efficient operations, with a hands-on, project-driven rotation.

Responsibilities include leading multiple projects, collaborating with engineers, and developing DCS graphics and test plans. A housing stipend is available, and in-person work is required.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate engineering student in Chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical major.
• GPA 3.0+ on a 4.0 scale; transcripts required.
• Sophomore year completed before first rotation.
• Able to work full-time (40 h/wk); in-person only.
• TWIC required and valid US driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Lead at least three hands-on projects during rotation.
• Learn programming, instrumentation, and control systems with engineers.
• Develop DCS graphics and test plans for DCS equipment.
• Support training, troubleshooting, and continuous improvements through data analysis.
