Dauch Corporation in Sanford, NC is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer College Co-Op to support the production organization by leading setup time reduction, Kaizen improvements, and capital project oversight. You will develop methods, tooling, and processes to shorten changeovers, improve safety and quality, and help manage budgets.

This role is part-time and seeks students graduating 2027 or later, pursuing a BS in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.

Competenze

Pursuing a B.S. Degree in Mechanical and/or Industrial Engineering, or related degree.
Actively pursuing a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering full-time.
Graduating preferably in 2027 or later.
Interest in working in a manufacturing plant environment.
Able to work a minimum of 25 hours a week.
Must have a minimum 3.0 GPA or higher.

Mansioni

Develop methods, tooling and techniques to continuously reduce setup time and improve changeovers and operations of manufacturing equipment.
Modify manufacturing processes for safety, quality, cost reduction, or design changes.
Assist in budgeting, scheduling expenditures, and managing project budgets.
Manage capital projects, including equipment specs, runoffs, installations, and contractor coordination.
Update and maintain equipment drawings and layouts for production.
Lead Kaizen activities and document results.
Review TPM/PM/Predictive Maintenance to maximize uptime.
