Dauch Corporation in Newton, NC seeks an experienced Manufacturing Engineer for a fully onsite role focused on improving high-volume manufacturing processes. The engineer will drive process optimization, cost reduction, and quality improvement while supporting new product launches and engineering changes.

The ideal candidate has hands-on automotive manufacturing experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and proficiency in data analysis and Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen methods.

Qualifications

• BS degree in engineering; automotive/aerospace or Tier 1 experience is valued.
• Experience in high-volume manufacturing and JIT environments.
• Familiarity with APQP, PFMEA, control plans, PPAP processes.
• Proficiency with data analysis, problem solving, and root cause analysis.
• Knowledge of CAD tools, automation, robotics, and PLCs.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes for efficiency, quality, and cost.
• Standardize work methods, process parameters, and documentation.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen.
• Analyze production data to identify opportunities for process improvement.
• Support new product launches and engineering changes with APQP deliverables.
• Collaborate with product engineering, quality, and operations to ensure successful launches.
• Specify, procure, and implement manufacturing equipment, tooling, and automation systems.
• Support installation, validation, and commissioning of new equipment.
• Drive innovation via automation, robotics, and advanced manufacturing tech.
• Monitor key metrics (OEE, cycle time, throughput, efficiency) and pursue cost reductions.
• Coordinate with maintenance and operations to improve equipment reliability.
