Volvo Group in Hagerstown, MD is seeking a motivated Engineering Co-op to join the Machining Engineering team. You will gain hands-on experience solving real manufacturing challenges while supporting advanced machining processes and equipment.

The role offers exposure to data-driven improvements, CAD design, and potential full-time opportunities after graduation. You will collaborate with engineers, operators, and maintenance teams in a dynamic, safety-conscious environment.

Formación

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Materials, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field.
• Completed 30 semester hours before the co-op starts with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75.
• Co-ops are not enrolled in academic courses during their co-op rotation and may work up to 40 hours per week.
• Experience with CAD software; Autodesk Inventor or AutoCAD preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Curious, initiative, and has an interest in learning how manufacturing technology is evolving.

Responsabilidades

• Support machining processes including CNC equipment, tooling, and process development.
• Analyze manufacturing data to improve process capability, quality, and performance.
• Participate in troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement activities.
• Develop CAD designs and support implementation of manufacturing solutions.
• Explore opportunities to apply automation, analytics, and emerging technologies.
• Work directly with engineers, operators, maintenance, and other manufacturing partners.
• Support a safe, efficient, and continuously improving production environment.
