As part of the Aftermarket team, you will focus on automation, validation of service methods, and optimizing Spare Parts assortment. Qualifications

What You Will Be Doing

As a Co-op, you will work with a team of Aftermarket Technologies Service and Spare Parts Engineers. You will develop and deliver Service and Repair Methods and Spare Parts Assortment for Volvo and Mack Trucks. Tasks include validation of Service & Repair Methods, working with Spare Part Engineering on assortment offerings and process improvements, and applying Automation to improve day-to-day team efficiency. You may also work in the shop on validation activities.

Responsibilities
  • Automation Development: use Python to deliver automated scripts to improve delivery speed in day-to-day tasks
  • Validation & Verification: physical validation and verification of Service & Repair methods
  • Make recommendations to improve steps in methods
  • Recommend tools to support servicing our products
  • Develop video content for Service & Repair Methods
  • Spare Part Assortment: work on assortment efficiencies

Who You Are

You are a Mechanical Engineering student prepared to work in a challenging, fast-paced environment, gaining experience in engineering (mechanical, electrical, software, design, production, etc.). You will report to the Group Manager for Service & Parts Assortment Engineers. Volvo Group values collaboration and lifelong learning, and aims to contribute to your development within a manufacturing environment.

Required
  • Must be enrolled and pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering at an accredited school and have completed 30 semester hours of undergraduate studies
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75
  • Co-ops are not enrolled in academic courses during their rotation and may work up to 40 hours per week
