Job summary

Eaton is seeking a Co-op in Manufacturing Engineering (Aftermarket) for Spring 2027 in the United States. The student will assist engineers in planning, machining, assembling and testing hydraulic components for aerospace and military applications, working with cross-functional teams including quality, procurement, and design.

Responsibilities include lean initiatives, fixture/tool design, 3D printing, and ERP-based reporting.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled as Freshman, Sophomore, or Junior in industrial or mechanical engineering.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Must be geographically flexible to relocate within the United States.
• ITAR: U.S. person required per ITAR rules.

Responsibilities

• Assist manufacturing engineers and operations personnel with planning, machining, assembling and testing hydraulic components for aerospace and military applications.
• Interact cross-functionally with quality, procurement and design.
• Learn and apply lean concepts and participate in lean kaizens.
• Design and model machining and assembly fixtures and cutting tools.
• Operate and maintain 3D printers.
• Develop monthly performance reports via ERP and Access databases.
