Job summary

Trans Ash Inc. seeks Civil Engineering Co-Ops to work on-site at a major civil construction project, with temporary relocation assistance provided. You will report to the Project Manager and support Operations, Quality, Project Controls and Surveying daily.

Responsibilities include document management, quality inspections, cost reviews, schedule management, and basic GPS-based surveying. Candidates must pursue a degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering and be able to work outdoors

Qualifications

• Co-op students must be seeking a degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering.
• Must be able to pass a drug test, MVR, and background check.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Support Operations, Quality, Project Controls and Surveying needs on a daily basis.
• Perform document management (RFIs, submittals, redlines) and track quantities.
• Conduct quality inspections and ensure drawing/specification adherence.
• Assist with cost reviews, schedule management and basic GPS surveying.

Position Description:We are looking for Civil Engineering Co-Ops! This is a paid position and will have you work onsite at a large civil construction project located in one of the following locations (temporary relocation assistance is provided):

• Bucks, AL
• Quinton, AL
• Sherills Ford, NC
• Semora, NC

The projects consist of mass excavation, large-scale civil improvements and landfill construction. This position will report to the Project Manager and will support Operations, Quality, Project Controls and Surveying Department needs on a daily basis. These responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Operations

Position Requirements:

• Co-op students must be seeking a degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs., work in all types of weather, walk, and stand for extended periods of time
• Must be physically able to perform the work outside in hot and/ or cold weather conditions.
• Must be able to work in a construction environment.
• Must be able to walk slopes and uneven terrain.
• Must be able to access all areas of the facility to determine needs.
• Must be able to successfully pass a drug test, MVR, and background check.
• May require significant time in the field, including walking up or down slopes.
• Must be able to work in a construction environment.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Be at least 18 years of age.
