Job summary

Axsome Therapeutics, Inc. seeks a Specialty Account Manager to drive commercial activities for assigned geographies and promote AUVELITY for major depressive disorder in adults. The role is field-based, with access to clinics or hospitals and engagement through digital channels.

The SAM will be a disease category expert and product champion, building territory plans, relationships, and payer knowledge while collaborating across functions and meeting goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum of 5 years of field customer experience and/or account management.
• 5 years of consistent top performance in pharmaceutical/biotech or medical sales.
• Psychiatry/CNS experience strongly preferred.
• Launch experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Proficient in both virtual and live customer engagements.
• Develop a comprehensive territory business plan to meet quarterly and annual goals.
• Promote in a compliant, ethical manner consistent with guidelines.
• Develop strong customer relationships by understanding needs.
• Serve as a resource to customers regarding payer policies and processes.
• Maximize use of marketing resources to grow prescribing confidence.
• Communicate territory activity accurately to management.
• Provide feedback to sales, marketing and other internal teams.
• Complete all training and administrative duties timely.
• Manage efforts within assigned promotional budget and collaborate cross-functionally.
• Attend medical congresses and society meetings as needed.
• Ensure timely access for patients through services and programs.
• Overnight travel as required.
