Job summary

Erias Ventures, LLC in Annapolis Junction, MD is seeking a Telecommunication Technician to design, deploy, and support complex digital networks and cloud server configurations. You will work with Cisco/Juniper equipment, virtualization, and container platforms to ensure interoperability across hosts and hypervisors.

The role requires strong integration and testing experience, in-depth knowledge of networking services, and potential leadership of project tasks.

Qualifications

• Eight (8) years' experience providing technical support for engineering and testing of complex software/hardware systems in telecommunications.
• Experience planning for telecommunications switches and conducting integration and system-level testing.
• Experience with Kubernetes.
• Experience with Cisco/Juniper or equivalent networking equipment.
• Experience with VMware, QEMU, KVM, or Docker.
• Experience with Linux or OpenStack.

Responsibilities

• Analyze complex LAN/WAN systems, design and configure OS and protocol suites for virtualized/containerized environments.
• Load and configure cloud servers and routers/switches from Cisco/Juniper or white box hardware.
• Lead technical projects or provide work leadership to junior staff as needed.

Description

The Telecommunication Technician analyzes complex local and wide area network systems, including planning, designing, evaluating, and configuring operating systems and protocol suites for virtualized and containerized systems. Resolve difficult interoperability problems to obtain operation across host, hypervisor, and guest nodes. Load and configure cloud servers and vendor (e.g., Cisco, Juniper) or white box routers and switches. Support the acquisition of hardware and software and subcontractor services. Act as a technical project leader or provide work leadership to junior employees, as needed.

Clearance

A current Top-Secret/SCIwith polygraph security clearance is required. Candidates cannot be sponsored or nominated for a government security clearance under this position.

Experience

Eight (8) years' experience with providing technical support for the engineering and testing of complex software and hardware systems in the communication field. HS diploma or GED is required.
