Job summary

Erias Ventures seeks an experienced Telecommunication Technician to design, configure, and optimize complex network systems for virtualized and containerized environments. You will work on interoperability across host, hypervisor, and guest nodes, and lead technical efforts as needed.

The role requires eight years of engineering and testing experience in telecommunications, with hands-on skills in Kubernetes, virtualization, and networking equipment.

Qualifications

• Eight years of experience providing technical support for engineering and testing of complex software/hardware systems in the telecommunications field.
• HS diploma or GED required.
• Experience with Kubernetes and virtualization technologies (VMware, KVM, Docker, QEMU) is essential.
• Knowledge of telecommunication networking, SDN, and routing equipment (Cisco/Juniper).

Responsibilities

• Analyze complex local and wide area network systems for virtualization and containerized environments.
• Load and configure cloud servers and network devices (routers/switches) from vendors or white box hardware.
• Lead technical projects or provide work leadership to junior staff as needed.
• Assist with hardware/software acquisitions and subcontractor services.

Description

The Telecommunication Technician analyzes complex local and wide area network systems, including planning, designing, evaluating, and configuring operating systems and protocol suites for virtualized and containerized systems. Resolve difficult interoperability problems to obtain operation across host, hypervisor, and guest nodes. Load and configure cloud servers and vendor (e.g., Cisco, Juniper) or white box routers and switches. Support the acquisition of hardware and software and subcontractor services. Act as a technical project leader or provide work leadership to junior employees, as needed.

Clearance

A current Top-Secret/SCI with polygraph security clearance is required. Candidates cannot be sponsored or nominated for a government security clearance under this position.

Experience

Eight (8) years' experience with providing technical support for the engineering and testing of complex software and hardware systems in the communication field. HS diploma or GED is required.
