Job summary

Lehigh Heavy Forge Corporation seeks a Tool Crib Attendant to stock the tool room and ensure CNC milling tools are ready per the production schedule. The role supports uninterrupted setup by maintaining inventories, coordinating tool procurement, and processing returns.

The position requires familiarity with tooling, gauges, and basic measuring equipment, plus the ability to read drawings and follow setup sheets with accuracy and punctuality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year experience as a Tool Crib Attendant or related experience.
• Minimum of five (5) years' experience in CNC machining.

Responsibilities

• Prepare setup kits with setup sheets, tool holders, fixtures, gauges, vises, raw material, and other items as called out by setup sheets.
• Ensure setup kits are prepared according to the production schedule.
• Receive returned kits, inventory contents, and replenish/repair tools.
• Review process improvement suggestions and coordinate with Engineering on updates to setup, program, or process.
• Maintain recycling program for perishable tools and coordinate tooling procurement to support production needs.
• Initiate purchase requisitions for tooling, specialty tooling, perishables, and supplies.
• Maintain accurate inventory of all tooling and supplies for production.
• Identify inventory needs to insure uninterrupted production.
