Job summary

Seco, a precision tooling manufacturer in Reynoldsville, PA, seeks a Walter CNC Set‑Up Operator to set up, prove out, operate, and adjust Walter CNC tool & cutter grinders for round tool production. You will read blueprints, load programs, run first pieces, and inspect parts to ensure geometry accuracy.

The role requires hands‑on carbide and/or HSS grinding experience, strong measurement skills, and the ability to work independently or on a team while adhering to 5S and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience setting up Walter CNC tool & cutter grinders.
• Ability to read technical drawings and GD&T.
• Proficiency with precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, indicators).
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot tool grinders.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Walter CNC tool & cutter grinders for round tool production.
• Read blueprints and engineering specs; load programs and adjust offsets.
• Perform first-piece and in-process inspection with precision tools.
• Monitor machine performance and tool quality; adjust as needed.
