Qualifications

• 5+ years of CNC machining experience.
• Strong working knowledge of CNC mills and lathes.
• Experience performing machine setups and troubleshooting production issues.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret GD&T.
• Strong understanding of precision measuring equipment and inspection methods.
• CNC programming knowledge (G-Code and CAM) and ability to edit programs when required.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and planning skills.
• Proven ability to lead by example and earn the respect of a team.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the second shift machining team to exceed production goals.
• Coordinate daily priorities to ensure jobs move through the shop efficiently.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for production-related issues during the shift.
• Assist operators and machinists with setups, troubleshooting, and process improvements.
• Help maintain production schedules and communicate issues that could impact delivery.
• Verify jobs are being run according to prints, work instructions, and quality requirements.
• Promote a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
• Train and mentor operators and machinists as they develop their skills.
• Work closely with engineering, quality, and leadership to resolve manufacturing challenges.
• Support machine utilization and help identify opportunities to improve efficiency.
• Develop processes and machine code for new opportunities.
