Job summary

Certified-Power-Train seeks a Working Supervisor – CNC Machining (3rd Shift) to lead and operate CNC production equipment, ensuring parts meet print specs and quality targets. The role combines hands-on machining with off‑shift supervision, coaching staff, and maintaining a safe, efficient workspace.

The position requires extensive CNC experience, strong leadership, and the ability to resolve issues in real time while driving productivity and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years hands-on experience operating and setting up CNC lathes and mills (horizontal and vertical).
• At least 2 years in a leadership or lead machinist role, preferably on 2nd or 3rd shift.
• Proficient in reading, writing, and communicating in English.
• Experience documenting production data and quality metrics.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC lathes and mills, set up tooling and offsets, deburr finished parts.
• Manufacture components from engineering prints according to specifications.
• Conduct quality inspections and document data for reporting and improvement.
• Provide coaching, mentoring, and leadership to operators and machinists on shift.
• Collaborate with planning, maintenance, and engineering to meet schedules and quality targets.
• Lead process improvement efforts and develop fixturing/tools as needed.
