Job summary

TECOMET in East Lansing, MI is seeking a Production Team Lead to coordinate daily operations, ensure resources, provide work direction, and solve problems to meet business goals under company policies.

You will drive Lean waste reduction, lead day-to-day production activities, manage resources across the value stream, and support policy adherence while ensuring cross-training and skills development.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; two-year degree preferred.
• Experience operating computers with Word/Excel/Outlook.
• 1–3 years manufacturing experience preferred.
• MRP/ERP knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Be a change agent and drive out waste using Lean methodology with continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead day-to-day production activities to meet current commitments while improvements are made.
• Manage resources of the assigned areas of the value stream.
• Assist Group Lead in development and communication of team adherence to policies and procedures.
• Ensure cross training of employees and update skills matrix.
