Job summary

DN Solutions America is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer in Schaumburg, IL to develop engineered solutions, proposals, and quotations for CNC machine tools and automation systems. You will act as a key technical resource through the pre-sales lifecycle, collaborating with RSMs, Key Account Managers, product managers, and distributors to meet customer requirements.

You will create technical layouts, support pricing analyses, and help configure options for CNC turning centers, machining centers,

Qualifications

Experience in technical sales support, proposals, or application engineering in machine tools or automation.
Solid knowledge of CNC lathes, mills, and 5-axis centers and related tooling.
Proficiency in creating floor layouts and equipment drawings in AutoCAD or similar.
Understanding of pricing models, margins, and dealer networks.
Strong cross-functional collaboration across sales, engineering, and product teams.

Responsibilities

Develop detailed technical proposals and cost estimates for CNC machining centers and automation systems.
Partner with regional sales managers and distributors to assess customer specs and recommend configurations.
Maintain pricing knowledge, discounts, margins, and gross profit considerations.
Produce 2D layouts and 3D concepts using AutoCAD and CAD tools.
Standardize quote templates, option matrices, and pricing calculators.
Conduct technical reviews and presentations for dealer networks and customers.
Coordinate with tooling/workholding suppliers and manufacturing planning.
