Job summary

DN Solutions America seeks an Application Engineering Manager to lead the Chicago Technical Center Applications Engineering group in Schaumburg, IL. You will drive daily operations, oversee turnkey projects, and mentor a high-performing team as the organization undergoes a multi-million‑dollar transformation into advanced manufacturing leadership.

You will coordinate with Sales, Service, Marketing, Facilities and Global partners to ensure customer satisfaction, showroom readiness, and excellence

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading technical teams and managing engineering workloads.
• Hands-on CNC machine tools, cutting tool selection, machining processes.
• Ability to lead technical customer visits and communicate technical concepts.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations of the Applications Engineering Department, coordinating schedules, resources and priorities.
• Oversee customer demonstrations, turnkey engineering solutions, machine tool validations, and client training programs.
• Maintain showroom readiness and ensure CNC machinery and automation cells are customer-ready.
• Direct engineering execution for major industry trade shows and corporate events.
• Coach and develop Applications Engineers for accountability and technical rigor.
• Collaborate with Sales, Service, Marketing, Facilities, Operations and Leadership for project delivery.
• Engage with tooling partners and international counterparts on global initiatives.
• Create standardized documentation, SOPs, and best practices for the department.
• Support recruiting, onboarding, and career development for engineering staff.
