Job summary

Relativity Space in Long Beach, CA, is seeking a second‑shift CNC Machinist to operate 3-axis CNC router, plate mill, and roll forming equipment. The role follows a 50‑hour week with a 3:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. PT schedule and a 10% shift differential.

You will perform precision blending/deburring, in‑process inspections, and standard lift operations while upholding Relativity Space safety and cleanliness standards. Collaboration across teams helps deliver Terran R components on schedule.

Qualifications

• Experience with metal fabrication techniques (bending, rolling)
• Proficient with machining equipment (mill, lathe)
• Proficient with common hand tools and inspection tools
• Proficient with Microsoft Office or team communication tools (Slack)

Responsibilities

• Operate 3 axis CNC router, plate mill, and roll forming equipment
• Assist in lift operations and critical lifts
• Perform precision blending/deburring with hand or power tools
• Conduct in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, and pin gauges
• Maintain safety and shop cleanliness standards
