Job summary

AXIATA DIGITAL ADVERTISING SDN BHD is seeking a CNC Setup/Programmer to create, optimize, and maintain CNC programs for precision parts. You will translate designs into machine instructions, set up machines, and collaborate with engineers and machinists to ensure quality and on-time production.

You will develop programs using CAD/CAM tools, optimize cycles, and verify accuracy through simulations and first article checks.

Qualifications

• 4 years minimum work experience in CNC programming and setup.
• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software for tool paths (e.g., SolidWorks, CAMWorks).
• Strong understanding of machining principles, tooling, feeds and speeds.
• Knowledge of programming languages used in CNC machining (G-code, M-code).
• Problem-solving skills to diagnose machining issues at the machine.
• Attention to detail and precision for accurate part production.
• Effective communication to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• ISO 9001 and/or AS 9100 familiarity a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop CNC programs from engineering drawings and specifications.
• Use CAD/CAM software to generate tool paths and machining sequences.
• Write, edit, and optimize CNC programs for efficiency and quality.
• Set up CNC machines and load programs for production runs.
• Run simulations and test cycles to verify program accuracy.
• Maintain records of CNC programs, tooling, and parameters.
• Collaborate with engineers and machinists to improve manufacturability.
• Support continuous improvement and training of operators.
