CyberCoders is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer Machinist to program, set up, and operate CNC lathes and mills to produce precision components to drawing specifications. The role blends hands-on machining with CAM programming and process optimization to deliver high-quality parts on schedule.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience with lathe and mill operations, CNC programming, and a commitment to quality and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on CNC lathe/mill programming and operation in production.
• Proficient in reading engineering drawings, GD&T and applying tolerances.
• Experience with CAM programming and optimizing programs for quality and efficiency.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, edit and optimize CNC programs for lathes and mills using CAM software and manual programming.
• Set up and operate CNC lathes and mills, select tooling, fixturing and perform first-article setups.
• Read and interpret drawings, blueprints and GD&T to ensure parts meet specifications.
• Verify programs with dry-runs and test cuts; adjust as needed for quality and throughput.
• Monitor processes and make real-time adjustments to maintain part quality.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot machine/program issues.
• Inspect finished parts with calipers, micrometers, and gauges; document results.
• Collaborate with engineers and quality to improve machining processes and reduce scrap.
• Train and mentor junior machinists on safe operation and setup procedures.
