Job summary

Precinmac, a leading supplier of precision machined components for aerospace, defense, semiconductor and automation sectors, seeks a CNC Programmer/Toolmaker with a drive for excellence. You will design, procure, program and build tooling and fixturing for CNC machines, ensuring fixtures are optimized for efficiency, accuracy and seamless production integration.

Collaborate with engineers and programmers, edit programs, maintain backups, and support setups to minimize disruptions while upholding

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of machining experience with at least 1 year of CAD/CAM programming.
• Strong reading skills, blueprint interpretation, and mathematical aptitude.
• Technical degree or certifications in a relevant field preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and team collaboration.
• Knowledge of CAM software and CAD tooling in a metal shop environment.
• Safety-conscious with understanding of machining processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop, design, and manufacture fixturing to meet production schedules.
• Collaborate with engineers and programmers to support department objectives.
• Edit and adjust programs to support production operations.
• Maintain backups of final programs and fixture designs.
• Prepare tool lists and coordinate with the tool crib.
• Order cutting tools and maintain tooling records.
• Collaborate with CNC Milling Manager to resolve process issues and supervise floor operators.
• Assist with machine setups and perform setups when needed.
• Troubleshoot setup, programming, and tooling issues to minimize disruptions.
