Job summary

Eaton Corporation is seeking a CNC Setup Machinist for its Charleston, SC facility on the 3rd shift. Relocation is offered with a shift differential and a $3,000 sign-on bonus. You will set up and run CNC lathes and mills, ensuring quality parts from the work cell.

The role requires two years of CNC experience or an associate degree in machining and the ability to interpret GD&T, set offsets, and adjust programs. Benefits include day-one health insurance and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of two years experience operating CNC lathes and/or mills in a manufacturing environment.
• Minimum of one year experience setting up CNC lathes and/or mills.
• Must reside within 50 miles of Charleston, SC or be willing to relocate.
• Must be a U.S. person per export regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead transition/changeover between production runs on CNC mills and lathes.
• Operate machines through the remainder of the production run ensuring quality parts.
• Set up tools, retrieve and input programs for changes.
• Establish work offsets (G54, G55, etc.) and use probing when needed.
• Read and reset CNC program codes and input axis coordinates.
• Interpret GD&T to adjust offsets and ensure accuracy.
