Job summary

Eaton’s Aerospace Division in Charleston, SC is seeking a CNC Setup Machinist on 2nd Shift to lead changeovers on mills and lathes and run parts through the production run.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 2 years CNC lathe/mill experience, and 1 year setup experience; preferred technical degree and GD&T familiarity. Relocation offered within 50 miles. Sign-on bonus of $3,000 is available. Compensation includes $26.50–$29/hour plus a $2.50 shift differential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years operating CNC lathes/mills in manufacturing.
• 1 year setup experience on CNC lathes/mills.
• Ability to read blueprints and GD&T.
• Export-controlled information access requires U.S. person status.
• Willing to relocate within 50 miles of Charleston, SC.
• Preferred: technical degree in manufacturing or machining.
• Experience with various manual machines is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead transition/changeover between production runs on CNC mills and lathes.
• Operate CNC machines through the production run while ensuring quality parts.
• Set up tools in machine locations and retrieve/input programs.
• Establish work offsets (G54, G55) and use probing when needed.
• Read, understand and input CNC codes and coordinates (X,Y,Z).
• Utilize GD&T to adjust work offsets and ensure part accuracy.
