CoorsTek, Inc. is seeking a CNC Set-Up I for the weekend night shift (Fri–Sun, 6p–6a) in Oak Ridge, TN. The role involves loading preset CNC programs, performing set-ups, and ensuring quality through in-process inspections.

The candidate will handle CNC operation, basic adjustments, and routine maintenance while following work instructions. Applicants typically have a high school diploma and 3 years of relevant experience, with CAD/CAM and GD&T knowledge preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to understand and act on verbal and written instructions.
• Intermediate math (algebra, geometry) and computer skills.
• Ability to learn, understand and utilize CAD/CAM programs and G and M codes.
• Ability to understand and use Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and SPC.
• Attention to detail and listening skills.
• Ability to work with a diverse variety of people from different cultures and backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform CNC machinery set-up by downloading preset CNC programs and minor adjustments.
• Operate CNC equipment to produce product per work instructions.
• Inspect parts for defects and record results; notify deviations.
• Perform basic machine adjustments such as offsets or setting taps.
• Stack and transport product using hand-truck, pallet jack, forklift, crane, or hoist.
• Clean work area, machines, tools and equipment.
• Wear required PPE at all times where mandated.
