Job summary

Emerson in Sandusky, AL is seeking a CNC Set-Up Operator on the 2nd shift to support our manufacturing operations. You will set up and operate CNC and traditional equipment to produce quality components while maintaining safety and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires 1–3 years CNC setup experience or demonstrable proficiency, the ability to read blueprints, and a focus on delivering parts to spec. A high school diploma or GED is required, with competitive benefits.

Responsibilities

• Precision machine set-up and operating responsibilities.
• Manufactures sufficient quantities of quality products at or below budgeted production costs in order to meet demand.
• Sets up and operate CNC and other related equipment in a continuous production/processing operation.
• Follows established procedures for operating various conventional and/or CNC manufacturing equipment for tasks such as cutting, punching, forming, drilling tapping, turning, milling and stamping to fabricate, form or shape manufactured parts, tools or parts assembly from raw materials.
• Selects and measures raw materials and parts to specifications to prepare for production processing.
• Resolves issues related to the organizations production, machinery, and processing.
• Tests and calibrates components and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications.
• Reports any malfunctions or abnormalities and makes minor adjustments and repairs to equipment.
• Observe established safe working, housekeeping procedures and promptly correct and / or notify supervisor of any hazardous situations.
• All supplemental duties, responsibilities, or non-essential requirements as assigned.
