Job summary

Emerson in Elyria, OH is seeking a CNC Setup Operator to run machines, swap tools, and perform basic CNC program changes to meet part specifications. You will inspect parts, read CMM reports, and ensure quality while following 6S and safety standards.

You will operate multiple machines, train peers, and support continuous improvement in a high‑volume manufacturing environment. This full‑time role offers a shift differential and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of experience operating CNC machines.
• Ability to add, subtract, and convert decimals and fractions.
• Outstanding Attendance and Excellent teamwork skills.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future.

Responsibilities

• Complete job changes on machines, make offsets and basic program changes.
• Operate at least three machines (gear shapers, lathes, mills, grinders, drill presses, saws).
• Identify tool wear and interpret Quality Lab CMM reports; use gauges and recording instruments.
• Load/unload fixtures per work instructions.
• Change tooling inserts and keep parts within tolerance.
• Train other CNC Operators on machine tending and scrap handling.
• Measure work pieces for conformance to specifications.
• Support Safety, 5S, ISO, Lean Manufacturing, Quality and Machine initiatives.
