Job summary

Clayens US LLC is seeking a CNC Set-Up Technician in Machesney Park, IL to safely set up and operate CNC mills and lathes, read blueprints, and edit G-code. You will support inspections and continuous improvement while maintaining quality and safety standards.

The role requires five years of CNC machining experience, strong GD&T and tooling knowledge, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years CNC machining experience in manufacturing.
• Experience with CNC mills and lathes.
• Able to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T.
• Experience editing G-code and machine offsets.
• Proficient with precision measurement tools.
• Strong problem-solving and safety mindset.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes and manual equipment.
• Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and drawings.
• Edit G-code and adjust tooling and offsets.
• Perform first article and in-process inspections with precision instruments.
• Maintain safe, clean 5S-compliant work area and accurate production records.
• Mentor less experienced machinists as needed.
