Job summary

A family-owned precision CNC machine shop in Oak Lawn, IL is seeking an experienced CNC setup machinist. The role involves reviewing manufacturing prints, setting up and running CNC machines, and inspecting parts for quality. Ideal candidates should have strong problem-solving skills, knowledge of G-Code, and at least 2 years of experience in CNC setups. This full-time position requires lifting capabilities and reliable attendance.

Qualifications

• Must have proficient knowledge of G-Code programming language and capable of editing code at the machine.
• Must have 2+ years of experience troubleshooting setups for CNC machines.
• Must be able to lift 30lbs and stand/walk on the shop floor.

Responsibilities

• Review detailed manufacturing prints.
• Create and edit G-Code at the machine.
• Setup jobs with necessary programming and tooling.
• Run the machine while checking for errors and non-conformance.
