Job summary

Bo/Gar Enterprises is seeking a CNC Set-Up Operator to set up and run CNC machines that produce metal parts in a temperature-controlled facility in Wyoming, Illinois. You will install tooling, set offsets, verify first parts, and adjust to ensure tolerance.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, loading correct programs, and preventing production issues while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Previous CNC setup or CNC machine operating experience preferred.
• Ability to read and follow blueprints, orders, setup sheets, and instructions.
• Ability to use calipers, micrometers, gauges, and measuring tools correctly.
• Basic math skills including fractions, decimals, tolerances, and measurements.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC lathes, mills, or other CNC equipment.
• Read and follow blueprints, work orders, travelers, setup sheets, and job instructions.
• Set tool offsets, work offsets, and other machine settings for the job.
• Install and change cutting tools, tool holders, fixtures, and other setup equipment.
• Load and run the correct program and perform basic program changes when trained.
