Job summary

Klein Tools in Trevose, PA is seeking an experienced CNC Set-Up Machinist to lead setup and run programs on mills and lathes, ensuring conformance to prints and quality standards.

The role requires 5+ years of CNC experience, reading prints, and strong math skills. You will document actions, adjust plans on the fly, and maintain a clean 5S workspace while adhering to safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• 5+ years operating and programming CNC mills or lathes (7+ years preferred).
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand basic English.
• Solid math and trigonometry skills.

Responsibilities

• Review prints and travelers, load CNC programs, and complete full set-ups: chucks, vises, collets, bushings, tool holders, attachments, cutting tools, stops, and stock pushers.
• Prove out the program with first‑article checks; adjust offsets when needed.
• Operate CNC mills, manual mills, CNC lathes, and manual lathes to produce parts to spec.
• Measure and verify dimensions with calipers and micrometers.
• Document actions and communicate pass-downs to maintain shift continuity.
• Maintain 5S workspace and report hazards per OSHA requirements.
