Job summary

Klein Tools is seeking a CNC Machinist to set up, operate, monitor and adjust multi-axis CNC milling/grinding/lathe, injection molding, and related processes. This role emphasizes quality, efficiency, and hands-on problem solving in a manufacturing environment.

You will read work orders and blueprints, perform tool changes, offsets, and necessary maintenance, and document outputs. 2nd shift: Mon-Thu, 3:30pm–2am; overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Three years of related experience is required; one year may qualify with Klein tenure.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand basic English.
• Knowledge of operating CNC, milling, grinding, or injection molding machines is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Run production on CNC milling/grinding/lathe and related equipment to produce quality parts.
• Inspect parts with calipers, micrometers, gauges, and laser/ profilometer; log findings.
• Read work orders/blueprints and ensure BOM accuracy and proper inventory transactions.
• Perform offsets, adjust feeds/speeds, and communicate issues to supervision.
• Set up machines, change fixtures/tools, and perform routine maintenance.
• Record part counts, scrap, and labor hours; adhere to 6S and lean initiatives.
• Cross-train across machines and assist with other duties as needed.
