Karman Space & Defense is seeking a CNC 5 Axis Machinist in Corona, CA to support first shift production. The role requires operating CNC machines, setting up tooling, and collaborating with programmers to ensure high‑precision parts meet all specifications.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, experience with Siemens 840D and Fanuc 31i‑B5, and knowledge of QMS requirements. This position offers competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience operating CNC equipment.
• Knowledge of Siemens 840D and Fanuc 31i-B5 controls.
• Understanding of machine setups and tooling.
• Ability to communicate with internal customers.
• Familiarity with QMS reporting and record keeping.

Responsibilities

• Implements AS9100 procedures and supports continuous improvement efforts.
• Maintains clean, organized work areas and performs general upkeep of CNC machines.
• Cleans, inspects, and properly stores fixtures and tooling.
• Coordinates machine prioritization with management to support production needs.
• Collaborates with programmers to streamline setups and reduce manufacturing time.
• Requests cutters, tooling, and related resources to support machining operations.
• Operates CNC machines to produce high‑precision components.
• Reports quality or workflow concerns and recommends improvements to management.
• Evaluates potential impacts of product failures on customer requirements.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
