Job summary

RON SUNSHINE ASSOCIATES LLC is seeking a CNC Programmer to support sheet metal fabrication through programming, process planning, and cost estimation. You will work across production, sales, quality, and shipping to drive efficient, on-time delivery.

The ideal candidate has hands-on CNC programming experience, keen attention to detail, and collaboration skills to coordinate with production and other teams.

Qualifications

• CNC programming experience in sheet metal fabrication.
• Proficiency with CAD software and CNC programming languages.
• Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes, tooling, and materials.
• Familiarity with equipment and manufacturing standards.
• Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
• Communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and maintain CNC programs for laser cutting, punching, brake, and other sheet metal equipment.
• Interpret drawings, CAD models, and customer specs to determine manufacturing needs.
• Select tooling, materials, and methods to improve efficiency.
• Design fixtures as needed.
• Establish manufacturing routings per standards.
• Collaborate with production to troubleshoot and improve processes.
• Prepare cost estimates based on materials, labor, machine time, and outside services.
• Review drawings for manufacturability and production requirements.
• Obtain pricing from vendors and support sales with quotations.
• Maintain quality documentation including inspection reports and FAIs.
• Verify products meet specs and standards; document nonconformances.
• Assist with internal audits and continuous improvement.
• Coordinate packaging and shipping; prepare packing slips and shipping docs.
• Schedule carrier pickups and support on-time delivery.
