6 Degrees Search is recruiting a CNC Programmer for a manufacturing client focused on sheet metal fabrication. The role combines CNC programming, process planning, and cost estimating to ensure high-quality production and on-time delivery.

The ideal candidate has hands-on CNC programming experience, sharp attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with production, sales, quality, and shipping teams.

Qualifications

• CNC programming experience in sheet metal fabrication.
• Proficiency with CAD software and CNC programming languages.
• Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes, tooling, and materials.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and maintain CNC programs for laser cutting, punching, press brake, and other sheet metal fabrication equipment.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, CAD models, and customer specifications to determine manufacturing requirements.
• Select tooling, materials, and production methods to improve efficiency and minimize waste.
• Design manufacturing fixtures as needed and establish manufacturing routings.
• Prepare accurate cost estimates based on material requirements, labor, machine time, and outside services.
• Support the sales team with timely, accurate quotations and verify manufacturability of customer drawings.
• Prepare and maintain quality documentation, including inspection reports and Certificates of Conformance.
• Coordinate packaging and shipment of finished goods and ensure on-time delivery.
