Genie Matthews and Associates is seeking a CNC Programmer for a manufacturing client in Farmington, CT. The role combines CNC programming, process planning, and cost estimation to support sheet metal fabrication, ensure on-time delivery, and maintain high quality.

The ideal candidate has hands-on programming experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across production, sales, quality, and shipping to optimize operations and quotes.

Qualifications

• Proven CNC programming experience in sheet metal fabrication.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and CAD models.
• Familiarity with tooling, materials, and production methods.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and maintain CNC programs for laser cutting, punching, press brake.
• Interpret drawings, blueprints, CAD models, and specs to determine requirements.
• Establish routings and select tooling to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
• Support manufacturing with troubleshooting and process improvements.
• Prepare cost estimates and assist with quotations.
