Job summary

GE Aerospace in Evendale, Ohio, seeks a manufacturing engineer focused on CNC programming and precision machining. You will lead high-mix, low-volume milling and turning programs, validate toolpaths, optimize setups, and enable robust, repeatable processes on the shop floor.

Responsibilities include developing CAM programs, selecting tooling, defining fixturing, and collaborating with machinists to improve cycle time, quality, and throughput while documenting standards and best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent manufacturing experience required.
• Experience documenting CNC programs, setups, and revisions clearly.
• Strong communication and leadership with shop floor teams.

Responsibilities

• Leads CNC programming and manufacturing engineering tasks for milling/turning in a high-mix, low-volume environment.
• Develops, optimizes, and maintains CNC programs using CAM software.
• Owns CNC process definition including tooling selection, fixturing, and setup methods.
• Validates first-article runs with machinists and adjusts parameters for tool life and defects.
• Creates technical documentation: setup sheets, tool lists, and process standards.
