GE Aerospace in Cincinnati, Ohio seeks a skilled CNC Programmer/Manufacturing Engineer to lead high-mix, low-volume machining initiatives. You will develop and maintain CNC programs, optimize tooling, and collaborate with machinists to validate first articles and reduce cycle times.
Expect to contribute to process development, standardization, and implementation of CAM software enhancements, while maintaining rigorous documentation and quality standards across product families.
Engineering associated with the manufacturing process. Responsible for departmental operations planning/execution or is focused on execution of professional activities within a technical discipline. Functions with some autonomy but guided by established policies or review of end results. The job allows modification of procedures and practices covering work as long as the end results meet standards of acceptability (quality, volume, timeliness etc.).
Engineering associated with the CNC programming and machining process. Impacts approaches, projects and programs in the functional area or affected business organization and ways of working. Impacts the quality, efficiency and effectiveness of own team through expert CNC programming, optimization, and technical support. Has significant input into priorities for CNC process development and improvement. Guided by professional practices and policies that are shaped by the role. The role has moderate autonomy, requiring high levels of operational judgment on the shop floor and in the digital manufacturing environment.
