Job summary

Millerbernd Manufacturing Company in Winsted, MN is seeking a Programmer to nest, write, and optimize torch cutting programs for plasma tables. The role involves preparing quotes with setup, run times, inspections and labor hours, and assisting table operators.

Expect 2nd shift and weekend options, plus a profit-sharing incentive based on performance. The ideal candidate has a High School diploma or equivalent and experience with SolidWorks and SigmaNest, with possible AS degree in engineering

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 1 year of programming experience in SolidWorks or similar CAD and SigmaNest or equivalent nesting software.
• AS degree in Engineering Technology, Machine Trades or CNC Machine Programming is helpful.
• Able to interpret blueprints and GD&T to .0005.
• Proficient in MS Office and shop floor control applications.

Responsibilities

• Nest, write and optimize programs to cut parts on plasma and torch cutting tables.
• Provide information required by sales to quote work orders including setup, run time, inspection and labor hours.
• Assist table operators and provide training to advance skills.
• Maintain 5S guidelines and promote a cooperative working climate.
