Job summary

IES is seeking a Burn Table Programmer for the Wisconsin Heavy Fabrication site in Manitowoc. You will program CNC nests for Plasma and Oxy-Fuel cutting tables, optimize processes, and ensure on-time production with quality parts.

You will read blueprints, adjust cutting parameters, manage steel plate inventory, and collaborate across engineering and shop floor to meet deadlines while maintaining safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in metal fabrication or CNC machining preferred.
• Apprenticeship or vocational training in machining, welding, or fabrication desired.
• Ability to read blueprints and tolerances.
• Forklift and crane certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Program CNC nests for Plasma and Oxy-Fuel cutting tables.
• Adjust processes (travel speed, tip size, gas pressures, kerf compensation, torch height) for quality.
• Identify raw material size and grade requirements for work orders.
• Support management and optimization of flat steel plate inventory.
• Prioritize burn table jobs to meet deadlines.
• Read blueprints and engineering drawings to determine tolerances and required trim stock.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; use measurement tools (tape, protractor, micrometer).
• Communicate across functions and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Maintain awareness of deadlines and quality standards.
