Job summary

PTMW, Inc. is seeking a dependable Fabrication Programmer to support growing fabrication demand. You will review flat pattern DXF features, tooling profiles, and part nest environments, and create and review program nests offline for CNC production.

Working as part of a team, you’ll follow the programming schedule, communicate design-to-programming issues, and resolve nest-to-machine conflicts to improve CNC efficiency and throughput. Attention to detail and strong teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma; technical school training in CAD or 2 years’ experience equivalent.
• Experience with CNC Punch, Laser, and Press Brake operations preferred.
• Experience with nesting software and practices preferred.
• Working knowledge of sheet metal application and design.
• Working knowledge of 2D, 3D and unfolding software preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Aptitude for learning and improving processes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Proficiency with MRP/ERP systems.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review flat pattern DXF features, tooling profiles and part nest environments.
• Create and review program nests offline for CNC production.
• Finalize nests to provide to CNC machinery for production.
• Follow programming schedule as a team member to meet goals.
• Communicate design-to-programming errors/inconsistencies for quick resolution.
• Address nest-to-machine conflicts and provide nest support for CNC efficiency.
