Job summary

Timken's Aurora Bearing facility seeks a CNC professional to create precision parts from bar stock on lathes and mills. You will program or operate machines, verify first-piece quality, and ensure repeatability with in-process checks. Afternoon/second shift and standard first shift provided.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and 1+ year CNC experience; familiarity with Hardinge, HAAS, Mazak, Ganesh, or Doosan is a plus. Proficient in GD&T and blueprint reading is expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year operating CNC machinery in manufacturing preferred.
• Experience with Hardinge lathes and/or HAAS, Mazak, Ganesh, or Doosan is a plus.
• Proficiency with gauges and micrometers; able to read blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Program and/or run CNC equipment to machine features from bar stock.
• Select arbors, fixtures, inserts, speeds/feeds per blueprint specs.
• Produce first-piece parts and perform offsets to hit tolerances.
• Load parts, cycle machines, check at intervals, adjust to maintain quality.
• Maintain production readiness and perform routine machine care.

At Timken’s Aurora Bearing facility, we’re looking for a CNC professional who thrives on accuracy, keeps machines in peak condition, and pursues continuous improvement—especially on afternoon/second shift.The MissionCreate precision parts on CNC lathes and mills while holding print-defined characteristics.
