Job summary
Timken Aurora Bearing facility is hiring Machine Operators for assembly, grinding, turning and related machinery. Pay starts at $18.50–$19/hr with an additional $1.50 for 2nd shift, plus comprehensive benefits and on‑the‑job training for growth.
Roles include operating presses, lathes, mills and grinders, reading blueprints, and using micrometers and calipers to ensure prints and quality specs are met. 1st and 2nd shifts available with day and afternoon schedules.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required with blueprints reading ability.
- Experience in manufacturing and machine operation preferred.
- Knowledge of gauges and micrometers is a plus.
- Good communication and shop math skills are essential.
Responsibilities
- Operate and adjust production machinery per prints and specs.
- Check parts for fit and quality using gauging tools.
- Set up machine parameters as needed for start of runs.
- Run first piece parts and document setup approvals.
- Load parts, cycle equipment, inspect regularly, and adjust.
- Maintain machine operation and monitor fluid levels.

Full job description. We have opportunities on day and afternoon shifts for machine operators at the Timken Aurora Bearing facility. On the Job training and Growth opportunity available. Pay based on experience starting at $18.50-19/hr + $1.50 for 2nd shift.
Operate and adjust production machinery that may include presses, laser marker, ink jet, electro etch, fit, ovens, swage, bore grinders, drill, mill and roll thread. Check parts for fit, center, stake, stamp and proper marking per the print specifications. This is done through visual and physical inspection as well as use of gauging tools including micrometer and calipers. Based on experience may require setting up machine per machine parameters. Run first piece parts when required and make appropriate adjustments to attain quality characteristics per print specifications and complete necessary paperwork to attain a set-up approval. Load parts as instructed, cycle equipment and check parts at designated intervals and make necessary adjustments. Maintain machine operation including checking fluid levels.
1st shift: Monday - Friday from 7:00am - 3:30pm. 2nd shift: 3:30pm - 12:00am.
- High School Diploma or GED
