Job summary

Torrey Holistics in Cincinnati, OH is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to own setups, program edits, and first article inspections on high-tolerance aerospace and defense components.

You will read engineering drawings with GD&T, select tooling and fixturing, monitor runs, troubleshoot issues, and mentor junior operators as part of a continuous-improvement focused team that values craftsmanship and precision.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of CNC machining experience with setup and program editing responsibilities.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T.
  • Experience using precision measuring equipment (micrometers, bore gauges, thread gauges, CMMs).

Responsibilities

  • Set up CNC mills, lathes, and multi-axis machines from print to first-part approval.
  • Select tooling, workholding, and fixturing for various materials and geometries.
  • Edit CNC programs at the machine to optimize quality and cycle time.
  • Perform first article inspections and verify parts with precision instruments.
  • Monitor production runs and adjust tooling or offsets to maintain tight tolerances.
  • Interpret drawings, GD&T, and customer specifications; troubleshoot machining challenges.
  • Mentor less experienced operators and support continuous improvement initiatives.

OverviewWe're hiring an experienced CNC Machinist to join a growing precision manufacturing team producing high-tolerance components for the aerospace, defense, energy, and industrial markets.
