Job summary

You will translate engineering intent into efficient strategies, select tooling, simulate toolpaths, and support machinists on setup and quality control. Collaborate across Engineering, Production, and Quality teams to improve manufacturability and process performance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years CNC programming in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong machining background with tooling, fixturing, and setup knowledge.
• Proficiency with CAM software, preferably Mastercam.
• Ability to read drawings, specs, and GD&T.
• Knowledge of G-code and CNC controls such as Fanuc, Mazak, or similar.
• Feeds, speeds, tooling selection, and process optimization.
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs using Mastercam and CAM software.
• Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and GD&T to develop machining strategies.
• Select tooling, cutting parameters, and fixturing solutions to maximize performance.
• Simulate and verify toolpaths to ensure accuracy and prevent collisions.
• Support CNC machinists and operators with setup instructions and technical guidance.
• Troubleshoot programming, tooling, and machining issues on the production floor.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing cycle times and increasing efficiency.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Production, and Quality teams to improve manufacturability and process performance.
• Maintain program documentation, revision control, and backups.
• Ensure all machining processes meet quality, safety, and customer requirements.
